USING THE SERVICE

Terms of Use

These terms set the rules for using Ask The Movie, including the invite-only alpha.

Effective 19 August 2026

1. About these terms

Ask The Movie is operated by Sales Leak Labs. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Questions can be sent to support@askthemovie.com.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 16 to use Ask The Movie. If you are under 18, you confirm that a parent or guardian has permitted your use. You must provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Invite-only alpha

The alpha is a limited testing service available only to invited people. Alpha testers may receive Premium+ access without charge. This access has no cash value, may differ from a future paid plan, and may be changed or withdrawn as testing evolves.

Alpha features may be incomplete, unavailable or changed without notice. We may impose usage limits, reset test data, pause features or end the alpha. Where reasonably possible, we will avoid unnecessary loss of saved information.

4. Recommendations, AI answers and spoilers

Ask The Movie uses automated systems and third-party data to produce recommendations, facts and movie Q&A. Results are for entertainment and discovery. They may be incomplete, inaccurate, out of date or a weaker match than the score suggests.

We try to respect spoiler settings, but cannot guarantee that every recommendation, synopsis or AI answer will be spoiler-free. Use spoiler-aware features at your own discretion.

5. Where-to-watch information

Ask The Movie is a discovery service, not a streaming provider, retailer or ticket seller. Availability, subscription inclusion, rental prices and purchase terms are controlled by third parties and can change at any time. A provider button is an external link, not a guarantee that a title is currently included or available in your location.

Any viewing, rental or purchase takes place directly with the third-party provider and is governed by that provider's terms. You should confirm the title, price, format and region before completing a transaction.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the service. In particular, do not attempt to bypass access or usage limits, probe or disrupt security, automate excessive requests, scrape the service, reverse engineer protected systems, upload unlawful or harmful material, impersonate another person, or use Ask Together to harass others. You must not use output in a way that infringes another person's rights.

7. Content and intellectual property

Sales Leak Labs and its licensors own the Ask The Movie product, design, software and branding. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to use the service in accordance with these terms.

Movie titles, images, metadata and provider marks belong to their respective owners. Movie metadata and artwork may be supplied by TMDB; Ask The Movie is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.

You retain rights in text you submit. You give us permission to process it to operate, secure and improve the service. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or payment, provided we do not publicly identify you without permission.

8. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict or end access if you breach these terms, create risk for users or the service, or if we discontinue the alpha or product. You may request account deletion by contacting support.

9. Service availability and liability

We provide the alpha with reasonable care, but do not promise uninterrupted availability or that every result will be accurate. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for third-party services, or for business losses arising from consumer use.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights.

10. Changes, law and contact

We may update these terms as Ask The Movie develops. We will post the revised version and update its effective date. Material changes will be notified where reasonably possible. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you may also have the benefit of mandatory protections and courts in the place where you live.
